What our website stores in your browser, and how to turn it off.

The short version
Our pages store your answer to the cookie banner and, if you open a private Upstream link, a cookie that remembers your practice. Google Analytics 4 sets its cookies only after you click Accept. We don't use advertising cookies, ad pixels or remarketing.
This policy works alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the wider picture of what we collect and why.
What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can remember something between pages. Local storage and session storage are browser features that hold small amounts of information on your device for the same kind of reason. Session storage clears when you close the tab.

Our pages load their typeface from Google Fonts. That request sends Google your IP address and browser details, but it doesn't set cookies.
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies and no remarketing.
- No Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag and no other ad pixel.
- No tracking across other websites.
Older tools on this site
The pages for reports bought before our one-time reports moved to AEOptim set a first-party cookie that remembers the access code for a report you bought, so you don't have to type it again, for up to 12 months.
Staff who sign in to our dashboard get a session cookie that lasts up to 12 hours. Visitors never get it.
How to control cookies
- Click Decline on the banner, and Google Analytics never loads.
- You can open our preference panel at any time from "Your Privacy Choices" at the bottom of every page. It shows what's always on, lets you turn analytics on or off, and confirms we don't use advertising cookies.
- Use "Your Privacy Choices" at the bottom of any page to change your answer at any time. If you switch to Decline, Google Analytics stops and we delete its cookies.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you haven't made a choice, we treat it as Decline.
- Every major browser also lets you view, block or delete cookies and clear site storage, usually under its privacy settings.
Blocking Stripe's cookies on a payment page will stop that payment form from working. Everything else on the site works without cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything that stores information in your browser, we'll update this page first and change the date at the top.
